SYNTHESYS+ held its final meeting in combination with the DiSSCo Futures meeting in Brussels 7-9 February 2023.

As part of the DiSSCo infrastructure, SYNTHESYS+, together with two other EC-funded projects DiSSCo Prepare and MOBILISE held its final meeting to reflect on our achievements and look ahead to the new challenges that await us. DiSSCo Futures brought together project participants and stakeholders to celebrate the success of this work and plan the next steps of the DiSSCo common research infrastructure.

The event ran in plenary, encompassing keynotes, panel discussions, lightning talks, service demonstrations and audience interaction, all of them aligned around key themes developed across projects and focused on the scientific and strategic highlights of the work.

The themes covered digitisation, access, infrastructure, standards, organisation and the human capacity necessary to deliver a truly distributed system of scientific collections.
